Mentor + Speech

In late October, I had an interview with Mr. Finley. he has been in the accounting field for over 20 years, and currently works for Janik Forensic. During the interview, Mr. Finley answered all my questions in a detailed matter, and explained them with scenarios, so that I would be able to understand easily, as I am someone who just got interested in the field of accounting. I recently reached out to him and asked if he could be my mentor. He said yes! I am super excited to have Mr.Finley as my mentor and am excited to work on my final product with him. Even after ISM, I hope I will remain in contact with him, as he will be someone who helped me start my career. 

Next week, on February 2nd, I have my original work speech! The speech is supposed to be 17-20 minutes long and I am super nervous about it. When I get nervous, I tend to speech 2 times faster than I spoke while practicing. My speech does seem far away, but I am hoping to start writing a draft this week so that when the day comes closer, I am not rushing the last minute.
