Little did I know...

This week in ISM was exciting and very demanding. I started on my research, and wrote a research assessment. As I was reading an article about Forensic Accounting, I got to learn new things in every line. This made me think that writing a research assessment would be easy since I do flow with my ideas. Little did I know it would be difficult.

Essentially, I thought I would like to start off my research by looking into some cases and studying them. But with the article I read, I decided to first start off with learning about the different services, and technology used. The article went through all the services in detail and the one that caught my attention the most was Divorce Business Valuation. I was shocked to know that Forensic accountants help solve financial disputes between couples who own a company together. They try to break down the assets equally, which goes with my moral value, of always being fair.

Annotating the articles and learning new things was very enjoyable, but writing my thoughts down for the assessment was pretty hard for me, since it was the first time I was writing one. I hope to improve my writing skills, and learn more about my research topic in the coming week, and have an idea on what I want my product to be.
