2024!

We had 2 weeks of winter break and I stayed home for the majority of it. I went on a 1 day road trip with my cousin's family, and for dinner my mom made my favorite pani puri for dinner! Other than that, my break was pretty nice and relaxing. 

The first day back to school after break wasn’t as bad as expected. Although I already have assignments piled up. Over the weekend, we celebrate Makar Sankranti. Makar Sankranti is a harvest festival, which marks the end of winter and beginning of a new season. This is also the time when the Sun is moving into the Capricorn sign. In Gujarat, where my parents are from, we typically celebrate this festival by flying kites. Usually, my family gathers and we celebrate by flying kites, but this year, we had snow on the day of Makar Sankranti, so we were at home. 

I am currently working on getting a mentor to help me with my final product till April. I wish I had started on looking for a mentor before winter break, because it is really hard to find a forensic accountant since they are super busy, and on top of that tax season is coming up.    

I hope this semester of ISM goes well and I am super excited to see how my final product will turn out.
